Soapstone Valley sewer update: DC Water posts 2011 report

The cover of the March 2011 report.
The 2011 DC Water report referenced in David Jonas Bardin’s July 22nd piece (Opinion: I’ve seen a rich, thoughtful analysis of the Soapstone sewers. The 2019 EA isn’t it.) is now available for download at DCWater.com.

From David:

In 2013, DC Water dialogued with a group of us about sewers in Soapstone Valley. We used as our study text DC Water’s 2011 report prepared by a pair of engineering firms. DC Water gave me a hard copy then and a digital copy a few weeks ago. It is a rich, thoughtful document with data, context and analysis – paragraphs and photos, maps and tables. All in all, an excellent product. So it’s good news that [Tuesday] DC Water posted all of it online to give everyone ready access.

Here’s a roundup of news and opinion on the Soapstone sewer project. NPS is accepting public comments on the Soapstone Valley Park Sewer Rehabilitation Environment Assessment through this Friday, August 2nd.
