At ANC 3F’s meeting in late June, DC Archives project manager Brad King said the demolition – or dismantling, rather – of UDC’s Building 41 could begin sometime this month.
King is scheduled to provide another project update at the ANC’s Sept. 15 virtual meeting (see the agenda and Zoom link below).
At Large DC Council member Christina Henderson is also set to make an appearance.
In case you missed it, ANC 3F Sue Guzman resigned over the summer due to a move outside of her single-member district. The timing of her exit, so close to the general election, means there won’t be a special election to fill out the remainder of the term.
Also, ANC 3F06 commissioner and 3F Chair Courtney Carlson is not running for reelection. And the 3F02 and 3F06 seats are completely up for grabs on Nov. 3 for any registered voters who 1) live in those SMDs and 2) are interested in running as write-in candidates. Just sayin’.
