On Sunday, May 15th, young Forest Hills artists will have the opportunity to showcase their own work in the Forest Hills Art Walk from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. or 2 to 5 p.m.
Some of the neighborhood artists opening their studios to the public will provide this most special opportunity to five to 10 neighborhood children and teens. Deborah LaCroix, Rose Mosner, Setsuko Ono and Karin Lithell have offered to be “mentors” by providing a space in their own studios these youths’ art.
High school students and parents of younger students interested in participating are encouraged to get in touch with Rosalia Miller.
Guidelines: We will accept 2-D pieces of art. Please email a photograph and a written description of your entry to rosalia.miller@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting the art work is May 2nd. All art work needs to be delivered by May 6th to 4526 30th Street NW. And art pieces must be removed on May 15th at the 5 p.m. conclusion of the event.

A special treat
Rose Mosner, who will be showing her work at Van Ness East, will also showcase the food of Annette Ryan, a fabulous gluten-free bread baker; Soapstone Market, soon to locate at Park Van Ness; and DG Cakes for those with a sweet tooth.
