Forest Hills Connection is pleased to be a co-sponsor of a free screening Tuesday, November 7th of documentary filmmaker Aviva Kempner‘s Rosenwald. The story of a Jewish philanthropist and his role in building thousands of schools for African-Americans in the segregated south was released in 2015 to critical acclaim.
And you can see it right here in the neighborhood at the UDC Law School. The screening begins at 4:30 p.m. and includes a special feature on the pioneering African-American surgeon and medical researcher Dr. Charles Drew. There’s a Q&A panel following the film and a reception (RSVP required) at 7 p.m. at the Embassy of Israel. See below for details.
