UPDATED: The UDC Van Ness farmers market reopens for the season on Saturday

Updated throughout with market hours on opening day and beyond, and physical distancing instructions for shoppers.

The UDC Van Ness Farmers Market is back at a new location – in front of the UDC Student Center at 4200 Connecticut Avenue.

Shoppers should know there will be physical distancing measures in place, and shoppers and vendors alike have to mask up. (More rules below.) There is one entrance to the market, and a booth where you can get more information.

All DC farmers markets have had to reapply for permits showing their plans for protective measures. The market’s student managers so far have permits to operate this Saturday and May 9th. May 2nd hours are 8 a.m. to noon. The market managers intend to return to the regular 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. hours the following week.

As you will see in the instructions below, a new feature is in the works: pre-orders. The market managers hope to have the system in place by May 9th.
