We know the community is eager to welcome MOM’s Organic Market to the neighborhood. We might be doing so this summer.
On May 15th, I spoke to a worker who was installing glass at the entrance. He told me a lot is done – the bathrooms and refrigerator cases included. His estimate is that within two months, MOM’s will open. He also told me that they are working on a store in Silver Spring at the same time.

I also saw action at Rosedale, the Ashok Bajaj restaurant opening at the former Soapstone Market and Uptown Market location at Park Van Ness. Two doors were open, and workers were inside, banging away.
It’s likely MOM’s and Rosedale will arrive sooner than another new business opening in Van Ness. We reported last year that Dog Haus is opening a location at 4340 Connecticut. The Dog Haus team recently told Popville it’s targeting a late 2024-early 2025 opening.
