I passed colorful fluttering on my daily walks with our dog that seemed to concentrate on a particular corner and bush. At last I brought my camera.
From Erna Marcus, longtime Murch Elementary School teacher and neighborhood naturalist, I learned that I was seeing Eastern tiger swallowtail butterflies. When I looked them up online, I found out their focus was on a butterfly bush, a name I had no trouble remembering! Here are three portraits from that bush.
