Metro is returning to ANC 3F to give our commissioners and our community an update on where it’s three-year escalator replacement project at Van Ness now stands. Work was to begin May 4th, until DDOT delayed the project amid community concerns about pedestrian and traffic safety impacts. During a May 29th walkthrough of the site, WMATA told ANC commissioners that the west entrance does not necessarily have to close for the full length of the project, but more study would be needed to determine whether intermittent closings are possible.
Also on the agenda next Tuesday: A resolution honoring the late ANC 3F02 Commissioner Karen Perry.
ANC 3F will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16th, at Forest Hills of DC (4901 Connecticut). The meeting will be livestreamed and archived for playback at livestream.anc3f.us.
