Sometimes the stars align and your humble webmaster can publish breaking neighborhood news quickly. But more often, the day job gets in the way, as does the job that starts after the day job (Happy Mother’s Day!).
So if you have something to report (like a lost pet or Bread Furst opening its doors) and want to get the word out right away, we suggest joining our neighborhood listserv: groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ForestHillsDC/info.
Once you’re in, using it is as simple as sending an email to foresthillsdc@yahoogroups.com.
If you find yourself overwhelmed by the volume of emails from the Cleveland Park, Tenleytown and Chevy Chase groups, rest assured that this listserv does not even begin to approach those numbers. But it has been useful. Most recently, it helped a lost dog find its people. And we think that’s the best news of all!
